POLITYKA PLIKÓW „COOKIES” / COOKIES POLICY

METAL PIECHOWICE sp. z o.o. sp.k.

Consenting to have cookies installed by a website every time you visit it would be tedious. According to the latest amendment to the Polish Telecommunication Act, each Internet user may consent to cookie files by modifying the web browser settings. From that point onward, the decision to use a website without modifying web browser settings is construed as an informed choice of the Internet user.

  1. This website does not automatically collect any data other than those contained in cookie files.
  2. Cookie files (or ‘cookies’ for short) are computer data in the form of text files which are saved to and stored on the Website User’s terminal device and intended for operation of the Website pages. Cookies usually contain the name of their website of origin, their storage time on the terminal, and a unique identification number.
  3. The Operator of this Website is the entity which places and accesses cookie files on the terminal of the Website User.
  4. Cookies are used for:
    • Customize the contents of the Website pages to the preferences of the Website User and optimise the use of web pages; specifically, the cookies enable identification of the Website User’s terminal and appropriately display pages on it as they have been customized to the individual needs of the Website User;
    • Generate statistical data which help understand how Website Users use the pages to improve the structure and content;
    • Maintain the Website User’s session (if logged in) by which the Website User is not required to re-enter the authentication login and password to access each Website page.
  5. The Website uses two primary types of cookie files: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files which are stored on the Website User’s terminal until the Website User logs out of the Website, leaves the Website, or stops the web browser software. Persistent cookies are stored on the Website User’s terminal for a time defined in their file parameters or until deleted by the Website User.
  6. The Website uses the following types of cookie files:
    • Essential cookies, which enable using the services provided via the Website, like authentication cookies for services which require access authentication on the Website;
    • Security cookies which ensure online security e.g. by detection of authentication abuse on the Website;
    • Performance cookies which enable collection of data on the way the Website pages are used;
    • Functional cookies, which allow storing the settings selected by the Website User and personalisation of the Website User’s interface, e.g. the selection of language version and/or region of origin of the Website User, the font size, the appearance of the web pages, etc.
    • Ad cookies, which enable delivery of advertisement content more aligned to the interests of the Website User.
  7. In many instances, web browser software permits storage of cookie files on the terminal of the Website User by default. Website Users may always modify their cookie settings. The settings can be specifically modified to block automatic handling of cookies in the web browser preferences, or notify the Website User every time a cookie file is attempted to be written to the terminal. See below for the information about modifying the cookie file settings in the most popular web browsers. Details on the feasibility and methods of cookie file handling are shown in the web browser software settings and help files.
  8. The Website Operator advises you that restrictions in handling of cookie files may affect some functionalities provided on the Website pages.
  9. The cookies written to the Website User’s terminal can also be used by advertisers, partners, and third-parties of the Website Operator (including Facebook, Twitter, and Google).

Mobile apps and cookies

Not unlike the full version of the Website, the Users of the Website Operator’s mobile app is notified about the use of cookies which work in a similar way.

The cookies are designed to store information about the Website User preferences and application settings.

The notice of cookie files is displayed on the websites which allow legal downloading of the Website Operator’s apps, i.e. the application stores of mobile operating system developers.

The installation and use of the Website Operator’s mobile apps downloaded from any source is construed as a consent of the User to have files similar in operation to cookies written to the terminal.

If the consent is not granted, stop using the mobile app and uninstall it from the terminal.
